You don’t always need a partner to have an awesome Valentine’s Day. Regardless if you’re in love at the moment or not, you can still celebrate the love-filled holiday, Here are 8 awesome things to do this Valentine’s Day if you’re spending it solo:
1. Have a movie marathon
They don’t have to be love-themed movies, watch whatever your little heart desires!
2. Go on a shopping spree
Treat yourself! Who better to spend money on than yourself. Plus, it’s an opportunity to take advantage of the holiday sales.
3. Pamper yourself at the spa
You deserve some ‘me-time.’ Go to a spa or even just get a mani pedi.
4. Go on a mini vacation
Yes, we don’t get paid time off for Valentine’s Day, but it’ll be worth it to take a few days off and travel on your own. It doesn’t necessarily have to be anywhere far, even just exploring a new town for a day is fun (and less expensive then traveling out of state or out of the country).
5. Unplug for the day
Put your phone down and instead focus on enjoying time with yourself. Ideas I suggest is starting a new book or writing in your journal.
6. Take a class
Try something new this Valentine’s Day that you’ve meaning to try – a cycling class, a drawing, etc.
7. Order food
Order your favorite take out! That never fails in making a day a little bit better.
8. Have a Galentine’s Day
Although this idea isn’t spent solo, I had to include it. Gather your bff’s and have a girls night in, go to a movie, or splurge at a nice dinner or wine bar.
